CandleTree Soy Candles is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We believe that everyone should be able to learn about our candles, find our store, and get in touch with us — regardless of how they access the web.

Our Commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, cognitive, and neurological conditions.

What We've Done

In building this site, we have taken the following steps to support accessibility:

• Semantic HTML — pages use proper heading structure (H1, H2, H3) and landmark regions so screen readers can navigate efficiently.
• Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone.
• Skip to content — a "Skip to main content" link is available at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users.
• Color contrast — text and background color combinations throughout the site are chosen to meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios.
• Image alt text — all meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked so screen readers can skip them.
• Responsive design — the site is usable at any screen size and supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
• Reduced motion — the site respects the operating system's "reduce motion" preference where animations are used.
• Form labels — all form fields include associated labels so assistive technology can identify each field correctly.

Known Limitations

This site is a single-page application (SPA). While we have implemented scroll-to-top behavior on page navigation and use semantic structure throughout, some screen readers may handle client-side routing differently than traditional multi-page websites. We are aware of this and will continue to look for ways to improve the experience.
