CandleTree NH Maple Syrup soy candle — handmade in Concord, New Hampshire

Granite State

Proudly Made in New Hampshire

Born in a Concord basement in 2016. Still made right here on Main Street.

A Concord Original

CandleTree was founded by Ross Mingarelli in the winter of 2016, in a basement in Concord, New Hampshire. Ross — known locally as "The Candleman" — began experimenting with soy wax and fragrance oils out of genuine curiosity: he wanted to make a candle that burned well and smelled right. What started as a personal craft project grew into a full business, and in 2019, CandleTree opened its storefront at 44 North Main Street in the heart of downtown Concord.

New Hampshire Craftsmanship

New Hampshire has a long history of makers and small manufacturers. CandleTree fits squarely in that tradition — a locally owned workshop that produces a tangible, handcrafted product right here in the community. Every candle is still poured in small batches by Ross in Concord, and that is not changing. Our address is the same one it has been since we opened the door: 44 North Main Street, Concord, NH 03301.

Inspired by New England

Many of CandleTree's seasonal fragrances draw from the textures and moods of New England — maple syrup season, apple orchards in autumn, the clean cold of a winter morning, the pine and earth of a NH forest. These are not generic seasonal names; they are fragrances that are meant to evoke something specific and real about the place where CandleTree was built.

Buying Local Means Something Here

That money supports a local craftsperson, a downtown Concord storefront, and the continued production of something genuinely made by hand. Stop by the store at 44 North Main Street, Concord, NH 03301 and experience it in person.
